Business model and allocation process

  • 26 lots will be sold (out of 32 lots) as soon as the water supply is formalized. To carry the allocation process forward, an investment bank will be hired (possibly Banco Santander or Citi) to do a simultaneous sale in Europe, USA Chile, Peru and Brazil.
  • Those who allocate lots during the sale will have to make a deposit of 25% of the total investment, which will be in the bank’s custody.
  • The window to hand the lots over will be maximum 24 months.
  • Approximate communal expenses (includes costs for water extraction) will be about USD $500 per ha/year.
  • In order to make international companies’ buying easier, GoldAgro (GA) will allocate a similar surface for conservation, this means, if an international entity buys 500 ha, GA will allocate 520 ha for conservation. The initial buying entity will be 51% Brazilian (GA) and 49% foreign (international entity), whereas the rights will be handed over to the allottee for the irrigable hectares, and the rights for the conservation hectares will be given to GA. Additionally, the allottee will have an option to buy GA’s hectares for 1 dollar, if in the future they want to change the brazilian partner.
